Rules for Pro/Am Swing Male & Female:
FloorPlay Dance Clubs recognizes a pro/teacher as one who is compensated for dance instruction. The level of the teacher is not important. If an individual is compensated for instruction, and the Am (amateur)/Student chooses the teacher, they are eligible as a Pro/Am couple.
Male or Female indicates the gender of the Am/Student. Male Pros may dance with male or female Amateurs/Students and Female Pros may dance with male or female Amateurs/Students. Level of dance indicates competitive level of the student as agreed upon between pro/teacher and an/student.
- Novice/Intermediate Pro/Am:
This division will host students who have never competed or have little experience dancing in a Pro/Am. Teacher/Students will dance a lead/follow type contest to the DJs choice of music.- Advanced Pro/Am:
This division will host students who have experience dancing in Pro/Am contests.
Pro/Am Routine:
Teacher/Student dance a choreographed routine to music of their own choosing. The music may be a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 3 minutes. Lifts, drops, and aerials are allowed.
