Welcome to Floorplay

Who is Floorplay? Floorplay is Florida’s friendliest west coast swing dance club now in it’s 15th year. We provide a venue where you can learn how to west coast swing, socialize with your friends, and, at your own pace, learn new wcs moves as either a beginner, an intermediate or advanced dancer. We host a variety of fun social events that repeat every week, month and even every year.

Floorplay is a community based organization that hosts dances in several city-regions throughout Florida. For starters, each week, these cities have a lesson and a dance that is mostly attended by the local crowd, but of course, visitors can always drop in. Floorplay is not a member and dues type of organization. Once a month, each of these areas hosts a larger event that attracts dancers from all over the region. The monthly events are a great way to get out and meet new people and most importantly get exposed to new leads, follows, and moves. So whether you are a resident of Florida or just visiting the Sunshine State be sure to check out our social events and venues in Daytona Beach, Orlando, Melbourne, West Palm Beach or Tampa.

Let’s not forget the yearly event. Floorplay’s New Year’s Eve Swing Vacation is held in Orlando, FL. This major dance event boasts three or four days of nearly non-stop open dancing. We do have WSDC sanctioned competitions and host the Florida State Swing Dance Championship but the New Year’s Eve Swing Vacation is mostly about open social dancing. Let’s not get too sidetracked, during your vacation, you’ll have the opportunity to take workshops from champion dance instructors and competitors like Jen Deluca and Mike Kielbasa, Jeannie Tucker, etc to name a few. There is also a pro show performed by guest champions that demonstrate their talent with some amazing routines for your viewing pleasure. To take advantage of what this swing vacation offers, people from all across the nation plan their first major WCS event of the year on our dance floor. If you ever make it off the dance floor and step outside, you’ll find yourself located in Central Florida and in the very heart of all the major attractions from Disney, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, Daytona Beach, and many, many more fabulous Florida attractions.
